Two of Martin Luther's earliest works have been added to the site. See the menu links for
A Treatise on Good Works
and
The 95 Theses of Martin Luther.
These are very interesting documents. They are what help start the reformation movement in the 1500's.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do
Scott

We are back! I just learned today that the site had been down for a little while. This was caused by multiple compounding issues. To resolve the issues, I had to do an upgrade. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, please let me know by sending me an email to shutslar at jasperredeemer dot org or give me a call at 812-631-0413.
You can click on read more if you want the details.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Scott Hutslar

On June 26th the Social Ministry Committee will sponsor a “Soap Sunday”. Everyone is being asked to bring a bar of soap to church and donate it to Lutheran World Relief.
We sometimes forget what a bar of soap can mean to someone. Just to be clean can mean so much to someone.

This last Sunday's Gospel was Luke 14:1, 7-14. It was a Gospel that I think really hit home with several in the congregation. I know it did me. The message that Pastor Trexler gave after the reading of the Gospel was wonderful. I was so inspired by Gospel, I want to share it here for everyone to read.

Pastor Trexler will be offering a class on Revelations starting on Monday, September 13. The class will begin at 6:30pm and end at 8:30pm. The class will last for 7 weeks.
There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex. Or you can email: administrater at jasperredeemer dot com with your name and I'll sign you up.
This should be a very informative class on one of the most exciting and least understood books of the bible. Come join us.

Don't forget about the Food Bank. The Social Ministry continues to collect food for the food bank. This is a very important ministry to the community. The Food Bank is in need of all baby items (formula, diapers, baby food, etc.) and paper items (paper towel, toilet tissue, etc.) along with all other food donations.
The Social Committee also has the ongoing Campbell's soup label collection. Save your labels and bring them in.
